Ivey MSc Association

The Ivey MSc Association (MScA) works as the liaison among the student body, Program Service, and faculty. We oversee all student-driven activities and initiatives within the Ivey MSc cohorts for the program and manage the relationship with the internal and external stakeholders, such as MBAA, HBAA, alumni, etc. We would like to provide and facilitate valuable opportunities to make your student experience as enriching as possible.

Membership Fee (2022 - 2023):

  • $300 for the entire program - 4 semesters

  • $225 for CEMS students going on exchange for 1 semester

The MSc Ivey Finance and Technology Club aims to facilitate a forum for a diverse range of topics including but not limited to Blockchain Technology (Cryptocurrency), Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Startups & Venture Capital, Personal Investing, Trading (Algorithmic & Quantitative Investing), Digital Banking (P2P Banking, Raising Capital, B2B Activities), Financial Innovation, Cybersecurity, and Big Data.

Events & Activities: 

  • Tech Case Competition: The flagship event for the club where participants solve complex business problems by employing innovative technological solutions.

  • Hackathon: An event that will focus on providing innovative solutions to critical business and social challenges, will test the technical aptitude and business acumen of the students.

  • Tech learning programs: Structured learning programs that follow the 'learn by solving' approach to develop various technological skills that are vital for careers in analytics, digital product management and technology domains.

The Pro Bono Analytics Club consists of students within the Ivey MSc in Management program who desire to devote their time and skills in data analytics and business to add value to organizations. It is our goal to design and implement mutually agreed-upon projects for small businesses and NPOs and to assist them with challenges they may experience! We also plan to document our outreach journey in hopes of creating cases and teaching notes for Ivey Publishing to assist future cohorts with their development into business analysts.

  • Outreach opportunities with community partners throughout the year, which will be completed in project teams 

  • Case competition with analytic applications and business focus

The MSc Sustainability Club provides students with the opportunity to explore the many streams of sustainability and expand their knowledge of the sector. We aim to provide students with informative events, research and blogs to help them understand the growing importance of sustainability in today’s corporate world. Sustainability is an enormous topic and our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to engage with an abundance of different subjects and streams — so they can better understand how sustainability drives innovation. We hope to engage with students and provide them with tools to understand that in today’s world sustainability and profit are increasingly intertwined and are no longer mutually exclusive.

The Marketscape club will build members' skills and knowledge regarding marketing and career opportunities within that field. The mission is to develop, educate, and prepare students for careers in marketing. It is our goal to provide our members with the knowledge, tools, and encouragement they need to become world-class marketing leaders.

Events & Activities: 

  • Guest speaker series: Inviting industry experts and Ivey alumni, successful marketing professionals, or professors to give presentations or participate in panel discussions on marketing-related topics.

  • Networking events: Hosting events that allow students to connect with marketing professionals and alumni, such as career fairs, networking dinners, or resume workshops.

  • Marketing case studies: Organizing case study competitions, in which teams of students work to develop solutions to real-world marketing problems.

  • Marketing workshops: Offering hands-on training sessions or workshops on topics such as digital marketing, branding, or market research.

  • Marketing projects: Work with local businesses or organizations to develop and implement marketing campaigns, and allow club members to get hands-on experience working on real-world projects.

  • Social events: Planning fun, social events that allow club members to relax and get to know each other better, such as happy hours, game nights, or team-building activities.
